Encryption of Images

Encryption is the process of coding an image to prevent it from being altered later. Most image formats were created and are used by the publishing industry. The images in this format are easily alterable in paintbrush programs. The publishing industry needs to be able to ALTER the image for advertising purposes and so forth. The problem in our profession is that the document image we use should never have the capability of being altered, or it may present problems in having this image or document admitted into court.
